Tomioka Silk Mill registered as World Heritage site
TOMIOKA, Japan - Women parade in Tomioka, Gunma Prefecture, on June 21, 2014, after the UNESCO World Heritage Committee decided to add the Tomioka Silk Mill, a historic factory building symbolizing Japan's industrialization from the 19th century, to the World Cultural Heritage list. The mill is located in Tomioka.
