Tomioka Silk Mill registered as World Heritage
TOMIOKA, Japan - Citizens of Tomioka, Gunma Prefecture, celebrate in front of the illuminated Tomioka Silk Mill on the night of June 21, 2014, after the UNESCO World Heritage Committee decided to add the mill, a historic factory building symbolizing Japan's industrialization from the 19th century, to the World Cultural Heritage list.
