STORYLINE:
A new railway connecting two major north-south railway lines in China will be officially put into operation in the near future.
The Wuhan-Huangzhou Railway, which links the Shekou Station on the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway with the Huangzhou Station on the Beijing-Kowloon Railway, is 80.33 kilometers long, with a top design speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
It will connect major logistics centers and boost transportation efficiency in central China's Hubei Province.
At present, the entire railroad has completed dynamic testing and entered the preliminary acceptance stage.
