In the last week of December 2022, the infection rate of the COVID-19 cases in France fell to 421 per 100,000 inhabitants, a drop of 25 percent in one week.
According to the latest report from Public Health France, the country reported 115 additional COVID-19 deaths.
In addition, the number of people hospitalized fell over a week, with 7,733 hospitalizations over the last seven days, which represents a drop of 19.8 percent.
