STORYLINE:
Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook has said that Malaysia aims to draw greater investment from Chinese companies to develop its electric vehicle (EV) sector to build up the infrastructure to enable wider adoption of EVs.
In a recent interview with Xinhua, Loke said that the development of the supporting infrastructure for EVs is a major hurdle for Malaysia, but the government seeks to overcome this by encouraging companies with the expertise and technology to set up their operations in the country.
