STORYLINE:
The 10th edition of "Dhaka Lit Fest (DLF)," Bangladesh's largest cultural event, raised its curtain on Thursday in the capital Dhaka after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bangladeshi State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, Nobel laureate Abdulrazak Gurnah, and Indian writer and literary critic Amitav Ghosh inaugurated the event at the Bangla Academy, an autonomous institution funded by the Bangladeshi government to foster the Bengali language, literature and culture.
The grand festival features conversations, dialogues, film screenings, art exhibitions, music, cultural shows and much more.
Over 500 speakers, performers, and thinkers representing five continents participate in the four-day event comprising 175 sessions.
The DLF remained suspended for three years
