This area is an important feeding ground for large whales, which was first discovered in the 1980s. This group of Bryde's whales has been returning to the island every year from September to the end of April next year. The number of these mammals has grown significantly in recent years, from around 10 in 2018 to about 50 today. Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Beihai, China. (XHTV)
