STORYLINE:
Malawi's natural disaster death toll for the 2022/23 rainy season has reached 56, the Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA) announced in a statement Wednesday.
A total of 16,427 households from 26 districts across the country have been affected by natural disasters, mainly stormy rains, floods, strong winds, hailstorms and lightning, the statement said, adding that 145 people have sustained various degrees of injuries.
