With the thematic tour "Without water there are no wetlands" by the Pantanos de Villa Natural Protected Area (Prohvilla) in the Chorrillo district of Lima, capital of Peru, local authorities promote among Peruvians the need to work to preserve the various wetlands of the country.
The four-day program started on Feb. 2 on the occasion of the celebration of World Wetlands Day, said Daniela Changanaqui Alfaro, head of Prohvilla's Scientific and Project Development Office.
