Egyptian Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said on Wednesday that the number of COVID-19-related deaths decreased during the seventh week of 2023, compared to the sixth week of this year.
Meanwhile, the minister mentioned the total occupancy rates of the Ministry of Health and Population hospital beds, pointing out that 60 percent of the internal beds are vacant, as well as more than 35 percent of intensive care beds, while 71 percent of respirators are available.
With regard to the situation of receiving vaccines, the minister indicated that the total number of people vaccinated with anti-coronavirus vaccines reached 40,865,508 people in the country.
