STORYLINE:
In the district of Midi in Yemen's northwestern province of Hajjah, farmers are struggling to survive amid the civil war.
"The war and landmines have forced us to abandon much of our farmland and cultivate only small areas, while the siege prevents us from delivering our crops to other cities and provinces to sell them," Mohammed Jaeydi said.
Jaeydi planned to sell the sesame he had to cover daily expenses.
Another farmer, Ibrahim Abkar, said he had to sell some of his livestock to pay workers in his farm.
Yemen has been mired in a civil war since late 2014, when the Iran-backed Houthi militia seized control of several northern provinces and forced the Saudi-backed Yemeni government out of the capital Sanaa.
