STORYLINE:
Two swivel girders of a bridge under construction on the Nanning-Yulin railway were successfully rotated to their targeted position in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Tuesday.
The two girders, with a total length of 176 meters and a combined weight of 8,000 tonnes, synchronously rotated 90 degrees within 90 minutes.
The railway, linking Guangxi's capital of Nanning and the city of Yulin, has a designed speed of 350 km per hour.
