The number of fully driverless taxis run by Apollo Go, Baidu's autonomous ride-hailing platform has exceeded 100 in Wuhan, central China, said the tech firm and Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information on Tuesday.
The city currently has over 750 kilometers of smart and internet-connected test roads for the commercial operation of autonomous driving vehicles.
Covering an area of about 530 square kilometers, the robotaxi service in Wuhan can reach a population of nearly 1.5 million.
