Myanmar exported more than 641,318 tons of black grams in over 11 months of the 2022-23 fiscal year beginning in April last year, the country's Ministry of Commerce said on Wednesday.
During that period, the country earned over 525.08 million U.S. dollars from exporting black grams to countries including India, China and Thailand, the ministry's figures showed.
Beans and pulses are Myanmar's second-most cultivated crops after rice, accounting for 33 percent of the country's total agricultural production, and black gram is the largest exported item among Myanmar's exported beans and pulses.
