"Japan on Thursday broke ground on its venue for World Expo 2025 to be held in Osaka of the country's Kansai region.
Covering about 155 hectares, the expo site is built in Yumeshima, an artificial island located in the Osaka Bay Area.
A signature ring-shaped structure named 'the Grand Roof' will be featured at the venue, which represents the philosophy of 'unity in diversity' as a symbol of the expo, according to the association.
Themed 'Designing Future Society of Our Lives,' the World Expo 2025 is scheduled to be held from April 13 to Oct. 13, 2025."
