The apple tree, which was transplanted to the mine garden last year and displayed to the public, has now entered its flowering period under the careful care of horticultural experts. Newton's apple tree is a national cultural relic in the UK, managed by the UK National Trust. In March 2015, with the support of the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, five branches of Newton's apple tree introduced from the UK were successfully grafted at the Chenshan Botanical Garden in Shanghai.
