The researchers say that the pictorial groups found in the building are among the best preserved in the entire Roman Empire. This Roman theater in Cartagena is one of the largest in the Iberian Peninsula, with a capacity for 7,000 spectators. And it shows how important the city of Cartagena was to the Romans.
