Cakes are one of the main dessert dishes on Palestinian tables on Eid al-Fitr. However, many families in Gaza cannot afford to make or buy them. Under the sponsorship of Al-Amal (Hope) Institute for Orphans, the charitable initiative aims to make about 500 kilograms of cakes and distribute them free of charge.
