U.S.-LOS ANGELES-UNHEALTHY AIR QUALITY
(230419) -- LOS ANGELES, April 19, 2023 (Xinhua) -- Vehicles run along a freeway in Los Angeles, California, the United States, on April 19, 2023. Nearly 120 million people in the United States, or more than one in three, live in areas with unhealthy air quality, and people of color are disproportionately affected, according to a new report released on Wednesday. The "State of the Air" 2023 report, released by the American Lung Association, finds that after decades of progress on cleaning up sources of air pollution, about 119.6 million Americans still live in places with failing grades for unhealthy levels of ozone or particle pollution.
