At least seven people were killed and 45 others injured in twin blasts in Pakistan's northwest Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province on Monday, rescue and police officials said.
Two powerful explosions hit the counter-terrorism department police station in the Kabal area of Swat district, causing multiple casualties, mostly policemen, Inspector General of KP Police Akhtar Hayat Khan told the media.
The police station building partially collapsed after the blast, which caused a power outage in the area, the official said, adding that security has been put on high alert across the province after the incident.
Window panes of nearby buildings were shattered due to the impact of the blasts.
