The traditional Icebreakers Festival opened the summer tourism season, which officially started on Saturday, in St. Petersburg, Russia, official city tourist portal Visit Petersburg announced.
Three icebreakers, dubbed Vladivostok, Captain Zarubin and Captain Sorokin, took part in the three-day festival. Visitors can board the icebreakers and visit inside, enjoy a spectacular performance of tugboats in the waters of the Neva River, or visit themed exhibitions.
The Russian city received 8 million tourists in 2022, according to the government of St. Petersburg.
