Gathering In Toulouse For The European Week Against Air Pollutants
A badge reads 'less aircraft traffic equal more future'. Several collectives (UFCNA, PAPD, CCNAAT, etc) organized a gathering in front of the railway station of Toulouse against aircraft pollution, noise during the night and the endless growth of air transportation during an european week for a ceiling of air movements. They demand a curfew during the night for air transport both freight and passengers such as for Schipol airport (Amsterdam) in the Netherlands. They also speak about the warming gas emitted by aircrafts (as the traffic is poised to double in 2045), the end of subsidies for the planes' fuel, grants for air compagnbies to open new airlines... They cite in example Vueling which opened this week a new line between Toulouse and Barcelona. Toulouse. France. May 12th 2023. (Photo by Alain Pitton/NurPhoto)
