STORYLINE:
The 34th Tehran International Book Fair concluded on Saturday after attracting millions of visitors.
The annual fair, which was held at the halls of Imam Khomeini's Mosalla, ran for 11 days and featured a virtual version that was accessible round the clock.
Around 3,000 participants attended the fair, including 2,700 Iranian publishers, 100 foreign publishers from 40 countries, and 200 other entities in the publishing industry.
Director of the exhibition Yaser Ahmadvand said that an estimated 300,000 to 400,000 visitors attended the fair each day, according to the official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
Ali Ramezani, the exhibition's deputy director, told IRNA that book sales at the fair had reached 8.7 million U.S. dollars by Friday, indicating a significant commercial success.
