A Balinese man soak themselves while performing ritual called Melukat to celebrate Banyu Pinaruh in Bebalang Village, Bangli Regency, Bali, Indonesia, on May 21, 2023. Banyu Pinaruh is a ritual for self-cleansing performed by Balinese Hindus after celebrate Saraswati Day, a day to worship a Goddess of Knowledge. Devotees bathe in the holy water of a spring, waterfall, or any other water source belived to have the apropriate cleansing power for purification.
