STORYLINE:
An exhibition featuring the Bronze civilization in the southwest region of China opened Saturday in the southwestern city of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province.
It shows the social features, religious beliefs, and artistic aesthetics of southwest China in ancient times, and reveals the unified and diversified development pattern of the Chinese civilization.
A total of 294 pieces or sets of precious cultural relics, mainly bronzeware from as early as the Neolithic Age and as late as the Qin and Han dynasties (221 B.C.-220 A.D.), are on display at the Jinsha Site Museum.
