A new school year with an updated curriculum for students of kindergarten to grade 12 in Myanmar kicked off on Thursday, said the Ministry of Education.
The 2023-24 academic year brings a fresh curriculum for all classes, featuring updated courses designed to enhance students' knowledge, U Kyaw Swar Thwin, a director-general from the Ministry of Education, told Xinhua on Thursday.
With the implementation of the new syllabus, students' learning outcomes are expected to further improve, he added.
"The rate of school enrollment for this year has seen an increase compared to last year," he said, adding that while the national school enrollment week has concluded, the education ministry will continue to accept students until mid-June.
