People Cheering With The Exit Polls During Greek Elections
People supporting the government conservative right wing party New Democracy ( Nea Dimokratia ) are seen cheering, hagging, gesturing, smiling and using a horn in the election promotional booth in Syntagma square near the Hellenic Parliament.The first exit polls announcements during Greek parliamentary elections took place just a few minutes after the voting process ended. New Democracy with their leader and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis won the election with 41 percent of the vote, double the amount of the opposition SYRIZA. A second round of elections with follow as with the newly introduced proportional electoral system no goverment or coalition was able to form.
