      Protest Against Cuts In Public Services And Modifications Of Work For Public Servants In Toulouse

Between 8,000 and 10,000 protesters march in Toulouse, France, on December 5, 2024, called by all trade unions except FO to protest against the new budget for 2025 in France. Workers in public services see the waiting period for illness leave increase from one day to three, their pay while on illness leave cut by 10%, and all their bonuses eliminated. They primarily protest against the reduction of public services such as education, health, child protection, and public finances. The Barnier budget plans nearly EUR40 billion in cuts to public services. Some protesters want to remind President Macron that the first coalition elected in June in the French Parliament is the New Popular Front.
