US-Mexico Border Construction On Secondary Fence Advances In Tijuana And San Diego

Construction on a secondary fence at the US-Mexico border in Playas de Tijuana is advancing on Friday, June 9, 2023, as 30-foot fence panels have been installed and most of the temporary fencing at the San Diego-Tijuana Friendship Park area, which was halted in 2019 due to litigation and environmental concerns raised by advocates, has been removed. The secondary wall is expected to be completed in the next two to three months. (Photo by Carlos Moreno/NurPhoto)
