Khuvsgul Lake holds nearly 70 percent of Mongolia's fresh water, or 0.4 percent of the world's total. The lake is 1,645 meters above sea level, 136 km long and 262 meters deep. The Mongolian government has been taking many measures to better protect the lake's ecosystem and develop sustainable tourism around the lake, which is a main tourist destination in the country. The Asian country has set a goal of welcoming 1 million foreign tourists and earning 1 billion U.S. dollars from tourism in the coming
