Indonesia: Residents Choose Polluted River Water To Conserve Clean Water
In a bid to conserve clean water, a number of residents in Tangerang, Indonesia, were forced to utilize contaminated river water for washing their clothes on June 11, 2023. This measure was taken as an effort to minimize the consumption of clean water, which would otherwise require them to purchase two jerry cans at the cost of IDR7,000 for their daily needs, such as cooking and bathing.
