              A Long March-8A carrier rocket carrying a group of internet satellites blasts off from the Hainan commercial spacecraft launch site in south China's Hainan Province, Dec. 26, 2025. The Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site located in Wenchang in the northeastern part of Hainan Island is China's first independently designed and constructed green, eco-friendly and modern spaceport. It currently operates two all-weather, multi-directional launch pads, capable of handling heavy payloads. Wenchang is also home to China's first commercial aerospace launch site, which has sent more than 90 satellites into their planned orbits since its maiden launch in November 2024. Highly frequent rocket launches have driven the aerospace-themed tourist services in the city. The rocket-viewing platform there attracts lots of spectators for each launch.                       Tourists have fun at the ice and snow world of the Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise in Changxing County of Huzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province, Dec. 29, 2025. Skiing and a variety of other winter sports have become a popular seasonal pastime for a growing number of people in Zhejiang Province. The province boasts many ice and snow resorts, both indoor and outdoor, providing ample choices for enthusiasts. Notable examples include the Wansongling Ski Resort in Hangzhou, Qiaobo Ice and Snow World in Shaoxing, Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise in Huzhou, SkyLand ski resort in Anji, and Pan'an ski Resort in Jinhua. Moreover, such facilities are increasingly taking root across the province. According to a ski industry white paper, the 2024-2025 winter sports season saw a national participation of 26.05 million skiers.
