First French Hybrid Train Put Into Service By The Occitanie Region

The Occitanie region, SNCF and Alstom presented the first hybrid train in France, combining electricity and diesel, on June 14, 2023 at the Technicentre in Toulouse. It will be operated at the end of 2023 in the region to reduce the carbon footprint. This hybrid train combines electric and diesel energy thanks to its new electric thermal hybrid engine.
