The two-day event was organized by the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria and Bulgaria's Dragon Boat Festival Association. A dragon boat race was held during the celebration with 26 teams participating. Meanwhile, spectators enjoyed demonstrations of Chinese traditional crafts such as calligraphy, paper cutting, Chinese knots, dance and musical performances by groups from China, as well as traditional Chinese clothing and Chinese language courses. The Dragon Boat Festival, traditionally marked on the fifth day of the fifth month in the Chinese lunar calendar, falls on June 22 this year. Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Sofia.
