ODESA, UKRAINE - JULY 23, 2023 - A priest in a hard helmet is among the members of the public who help clear away the rubble at Transfiguration Cathedral destroyed by a Russian missile that hit the altar Sunday night, July 23, Odesa, southern Ukraine. During the large-scale overnight missile attack, Russian troops launched 19 missiles of various types at Odesa and the region. The strike killed one person and left 22 people injured, including four children. The historic centre of Odesa on the UNESCO World Heritage List came under fire. Twenty-five architectural monuments were damaged, including Transfiguration Cathedral.
