Two men rest after being rescued by Open Arms, July 24, 2023, in the Mediterranean Sea. Today 73 people have survived in the Mediterranean after setting sail several days ago from Libya. They are now safe on board the Spanish ship of the NGO Open Arms, which is heading towards the port of Naples, designated by the Italian authorities for their disembarkation. This non-profit organization has today carried out two rescues with people of Bangladeshi and Palestinian origin. The first rescue had been at sea for 5 days and the second had been adrift for almost 3 days. The first boat had started its journey in Libya, 46 miles from the Italian coast.
