In the midst of heavy rain, a motorized boat was seen evacuating a number of victims of the flash flood that hit six villages in Muara Batang Gadis District, Mandailing Natal District, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia on September 15, 2009. This was witnessed from Rantau Panjang Village on September 30, 2009. A total of 15 people died while 30 others are still being searched for.
