Crocodile Culture in Zhangye, China
Two baby crocodiles play in the water at the crocodile breeding area of an aquaculture base in Zhangye city, Gansu province, China, July 28, 2023. The aquaculture base introduced 20 Siamese crocodiles from Shandong province. After many technical exploration and experiments, such as water temperature control, food allocation and breeding site adaptation, 20 Siamese crocodiles adapted to the breeding conditions in the northwest high-altitude area, and the trial breeding was successful.
