World Youth Day Welcoming Ceremony - Lisbon

This Thursday, Colina do Encontro (Eduardo VII Park) hosted the first moment of meeting between the pilgrims of WYD Lisbon 2023 and Pope Francis, the welcoming ceremony. This ceremony was an event with a festive and gathering character, maintaining the dimension of prayer. After a welcome program for the pilgrims, on the stage-altar specially prepared for this Day, there was a parade with the flags of the countries of the participants and the symbols of WYD.
