Typhoon-induced rainstorms wreaked havoc in the regions over the past few days. In northeast China's Heilongjiang, power station workers are working around the clock to restore power supplies for the locals. Zhuozhou City in north China's Hebei is one of the worst-affected areas. Over 800 firefighters have been mobilized for drainage operations. In north China's Tianjin, more than 5,200 police officers are sent for rescue and relief operations daily. Police helicopters are also used to monitor key waterways. To support the recovery of agricultural production, China on Tuesday allocated disaster relief funds totaling 732 mln yuan (about $102.3 mln). Xinhua News
