850 years ago the laying of the foundation stone of the Tower of Pisa. The celebrations started on 9 August 2023, in Pisa, Italy. Indeed, much has passed since the world's most famous and photographed bell tower, a city symbol. A year-long program of celebrations was presented this morning by the Opera della Primaziale. About 100 people among the demonstrators who took part in today's demonstration against the construction of a Carabinieri base at Cisam in San Piero a Grado (Pisa)-forced the fence of the site by disengaging from the procession itself and entered the military compound, travelling a few meters before being surrounded by police.
