Wild Horses Of The American West
Horses have been part of the the American Western Culture for hundreds of years. The American Mustang has developed into its own subspecies as a mix of the breeds release onto the plains by Spanish Explorers, cowboys, Native Americans and settlers. The name mustang is derived from the old Spanish word meaning ''wild one''. (Photo by George Wilson/NurPhoto)
