Quake Death Toll Nears 3000 - Morocco

The earthquake of magnitude 6.8 on the Richter scale, which struck late last September 8 in the High Atlas area of Morocco, has so far left about thirty aftershocks exceeding magnitude 3, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (CSEM), which has detected less seismic activity in recent days.
