US Capitol In Washington DC During The Night

The Capitol is the seat of the United States Congress, the legislative branch of the federal government of US. It is located on Capitol Hill at the eastern end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C.The Capitol features a dome situated above its rotunda. Designed by Thomas U. Walter, the fourth Architect of the Capitol, it was constructed between 1855 and 1866. Underneath is the central rotunda of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. The Statue of Freedom is a bronze statue that, since 1863, has crowned the dome of the U.S. Capitol. The Washington Monument is an obelisk, the tallest monumental column in the world, on the National Mall built to commemorate George Washington, a founding father of the United States.
