STORYLINE:
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly witnessed on Wednesday the signing of a new framework agreement for the production of green fuel and its derivatives in the Suez Canal Economic Zone in Sokhna.
The framework agreement was signed between the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone and the "C2X" company to establish a project to produce green fuel with investments amounting to 3 billion U.S. dollars for the first phase.
The first phase of the project aims to produce 300,000 tons annually of green methanol, and to reach one million tons annually of green methanol with the completion of the final stages of the project.
