STORYLINE:
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Thursday that its foreign exchange reserves had increased by 21 million U.S. dollars.
During the week ending on Dec. 8, total foreign exchange reserves of the bank reached around 7 billion dollars, the SBP said in a statement.
Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks were 5.2 billion dollars, the central bank said.
Total liquid foreign reserves held by the South Asian country stood at about 12.2 billion dollars, according to the SBP.
