Fatehpur Sikri
The Panch Mahal is standing at the royal palace in Fatehpur Sikri, Uttar Pradesh, India, on May 6, 2022. Founded in 1569 by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri served as the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1585. The Panch Mahal, meaning 'Five-Level Palace,' is situated close to the Zenana quarters (Harem), which supports the idea that it was used for entertainment and relaxation. It is one of the most significant buildings in Fatehpur Sikri. (Photo by Creative Touch Imaging Ltd./NurPhoto)
