Open Arms Rescues 60 People In The Mediterranean Sea
Open Arms volunteers rescue several migrants in a cayuco, January 3, 2024, in the Mediterranean Sea. 60 migrants have been rescued this afternoon by the crew of the NGO Open Arms ship. According to the organization, the rescue has been carried out just as bad weather is looming in the area. The Open Arms had already disembarked last December 31 54 people in the Roman port of Civitavecchia to which it was sent after the terrible weather conditions forced the Italian authorities to change the first port decided, Genoa, after four days of navigation.
