Iranian-Armenians Observed Christmas Mass Prayer Ceremony
Iranian-Armenian clergywomen are performing at the St. Vartan Armenian Church in central Tehran during a Christmas mass prayer ceremony on January 6, 2024. The Armenian Church celebrates January 6th as Christmas because Armenia, the first country to adopt Christianity as its official religion in 301 AD, commemorates the birth of Christ and his baptism, believed to have occurred 33 years later, on the same day.
