          A Long March-7 Y9 carrier rocket carrying cargo spacecraft Tianzhou-8 blasts off from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in south China's Hainan Province, Nov. 15, 2024. China launched the cargo craft Tianzhou-8 on Friday night to deliver supplies for its orbiting Tiangong space station, according to the China Manned Space Agency. The Long March-7 rocket, carrying Tianzhou-8, blasted off at 11:13 p.m. (Beijing Time) from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in the southern island province of Hainan, the agency said. After about 10 minutes, Tianzhou-8 separated from the rocket and entered its designated orbit. Its solar panels soon unfolded. The agency declared the launch a complete success.                       Water Diversion Project - China

                      An aerial drone file photo shows a canal of the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Project on the border between Beijing and north China's Hebei Province. China's South-to-North Water Diversion Project has three routes. The first phase of China's South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Project started supplying water in December 2014. Aimed at increasing water safety and improving the water ecology and environment along the route, the middle route project has been carrying water through canals and pipes from the Danjiangkou reservoir in central China's Hubei Province to Henan, Hebei, Beijing and Tianjin. Since operation, the project has transferred over 10.6 billion cubic meters of water to the capital city and benefited more than 16 million people.
